From the information above, some manufactures use memory or computer chips in the toner to monitor ink remaining or to know how many pages have been printed on this current consumable.
If the consumable is refilled, this chip may not be reset or re configured giving your printer incorrect information or even yourself the wrong data.
Print Heads on various consumables have a given life span or a maximum number of pages they are able to print. If the consumable is refilled, print quality can be reduced, ink or toner may leak causing printer damage and generally toner page life is less.
